Superbowl Menu 2016

SUPER BOWL SUNDAY IS UPON US!

As much as I would like to be there cheering on my husband and the Chiefs, that was just not in the cards this season. The next best thing will be sitting on my couch stuffing my face critiquing the commercials and waiting on Beyonce (and Coldplay). I guess I will be cheering for the Panthers…

Jeff and I put a considerable amount of effort into our Super Bowl menu. We though we would invite you into the process this year!

We have nibbles, dips, desserts, and a main dish.

NIBBLES:

A football watching party is not complete without wings. Try these for a little change up.
Cheese Curds are the new Mozzarella Sticks. Ok that’s not true but I just tried some this past weekend and they will definitely be on the table this Sunday.
Southwestern chicken rolls only because I have some waiting for me in the freezer from the last time I made a batch.
Spinach puffs add a classy addition to the party.
These pizza rolls because they are everything good about a pizza rolled up and baked to perfection.
Hatch Green Chili Sliders are some of our faves. Serve them on Hawaiian rolls and graciously accept all the compliments.
Saw these on Instagram, have to try them. Fried Ravioli.

DIPS:

Guacamole is required
Spinach Dip, non-negotiable.
Salsa, pairs well with the rest of the menu.
Queso.
Buffalo chicken dip; a tailgate favorite.

DESSERTS:

Toffee Brownies aren’t just for santa.
Biscoff Blossoms minus the Biscoff plus the cookie butter!
s’more cupcakes. I used to make s’more cookies back in college so I thought these would be a nice upgrade

MAIN DISH:

Crockpot Barbacoa— So many ways to change it up. Try it on a taco, in a quesadilla, on top of a salad or cover a tray of nachos with it. you can also top it with fun things like mango salsa, the guacamole, pickled red onions, or just tons of cheese. In the morning, I’m going to throw it on top of some eggs.
BBQ Chicken Pizza; no explanation necessary.
Last year my Turkey Chili recipe was featured here.

Hope your tummy is as happy as ours will be!
