They’re 6-0. The Chiefs are kicking butt and taking names! The atmosphere at Arrowhead is unbelievable as fans pour into the stadium to cheer on their favorite team. Last week, we recaptured the record for LOUDEST stadium in the world. The officials were here from the Guinness Book of World Records and we will go down in the book for 137.5 decibels. It was so loud, they were passing out ear plugs at the entrance gates. My voice has been raspy all week but it was definitely worth it.
An awesome flyover during the national anthem!
In addition to breaking records, we supported a very important cause: breast cancer awareness. The Chief’s Women’s Organization handed out pink eye black prior to the game and encouraged women to get regular breast exams. It was fun visiting all the different tailgates and sharing the excitement with some of the other fans.
Finally, the reason most of you clicked over! I know I am a few days overdue, but I can finally take this time to share a few of our engagement pictures! I have a few things in the works so I won’t display them all, but these are a few of our favorites!
Isn’t he handsome!
I know I have said it before, but Jeff and I couldn’t have had a better experience taking engagement pictures. Not only did the pictures turn out incredible, they were delivered in the most adorable packaging. We are looking forward to designing a guestbook with Kristin in the near future!

Also, just a quick update on my health journey: I have lost inches everywhere! Just yesterday, I saw a number on the scale that I haven’t seen since high school. I’m not going to lie, it’s been a challenge but I’m seeing results. The hardest part is being patient and consistent. My biggest goal is to not get as disappointed when the scale stalls or I fall off the wagon a bit. I’m doing this for my health and I’ll get there eventually! What helps me most is my Sunday food prep. It takes a few hours but it eliminates temptation during the week. Instead or reaching for a prepackaged snack, I reach for rinsed and chopped veggies and fruit. Here’s a little preview of what I prepared.
You can find the recipe for the coconut granola in one of my older blog posts and I will be posting the recipe for the super simple ricotta meatballs later this weekend.
Up next: choosing wedding invitations, working on the wedding website and cheering on the chiefs!
I would love to hear your comments and feedback!
